Such a great place. Rooms are great. Love sitting on the deck of the general store and enjoy an afternoon. Enjoyed walking the loop of Bay Street, up and around to the Ocean House and back down. Great time!!!
1st time ever going to and staying in watch hill, and the Harbour House Inn was perfect in many aspects. Friendly staff and clean atmosphere, great price, close to all the shops and restaurants and the ocean. Sights are amazing and I plan on going back next week for an overnight. My partner and I stayed at the inn for three nights because we wanted to be in Watch Hill and close to shopping and the beach. Not only did we get to be close to everything but we were able to enjoy a nice and relaxing stay at the inn. They were very accommodating, friendly, and offered advice on local restaurants. If you want a fun, chill, and historic stay while visiting Watch Hill I highly recommend it.
The place is very nice, first time there. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Having the general store right there is so convenient. The one thing that was really inconvenient was there were no hooks or towel rods in the bathroom. It would be great to have hooks to hang towels or clothes when in the bathroom. Its in a great location for a good morning walk and by beach. Definitely a place to go.
I just referred a friend to the Harbour House, and they advised me of the bad review on here, so I want to set the record straight. We come to Watch Hill every year, and stayed at the Harbour House. If you are looking for something with a bunch of amenities, this isn't it. This place is a hundred year old building, and many people-like myself-enjoy this fact. I don't know anyone that comes to stay in the hotel. Everyone comes here for the shopping and the beach. This isn't a bed and breakfast. There is a coffee/general store attached to the hotel, and Harbour House guests get free coffee from there. The rooms are affordable and they are located in a central location. If my memory serves me right, they are only open for 8 weeks/year. This is a great place, the owner and his staff are friendly and helpful
Our stay at the Harbour House Inn in Watch Hill was amazing! The comfort and simplicity of the well appointed room was exactly what you would expect at a seaside inn. You only have to walk downstairs to grab a quick cup of coffee to begin your stroll along the bay to view all the sailboats on their moorings. Take a leisurely walk along Bay Street to all the shopping and the beaches. An early morning walk to the Watch Hill lighthouse or around Napa tree Point is a must. This is perfect New England Coastal Living!! Enjoy your stay at the Harbour House Inn!
My daughter and I have had the pleasure of staying at Harbor House several times over the past few years. The staff is very pleasant. The accommodations are affordable, very clean and comfortable. The access to the harbor, beach and downtown strip are a short walk away while the setting is quiet. I highly recommend the Harbor House
